
To enter, simply email a written piece of 750 to 1000 words on the following title: ‘My Life as a Young British Muslim & How The Prophet (pbuh) Has Inspired Me’
This compilation can take the form of a diary entry, an opinion piece, or a general essay, however it should cover aspects of the challenges and benefits of growing up in the Britain, your experiences and ambitions, the role of your faith, your thoughts on any topical current affairs, social or political issues and what inspiration you have drawn from the life, message and biography of the Prophet (pbuh).
Entry closes on Thursday 20th of December, a judging panel from the Centre will assess each entry on the level of research, creative expression, structure and comprehension and the winners will be announced, on the Centre Facebook page, Insha’Allah. Winners will require to attend the Centre to collect their prize. Two runners up will receive copies of the acclaimed and contemporary book on the Seerah of the Prophet (pbuh), Muhammad: Man & Prophet by Adil Islahi. The winning entries will be published under the Community News section of the WLIC website. So, Bismillah, get writing and all the best!
